These slender minnows imitate  most thin bait fish in both rivers, lakes and coastal waters.Smelt, Emerald Shiners, Dace minnows, Chubs, Sardinia, Sand Eels and Silversides.
They are tied to copy the length, height and thickness  of the original Rapala Minnow.
I fish these for Brown Trout, Rainbows, Smallmouth, Largemouth, Pike, Walleye, Stripers, Snook, Redfish and Jacks.
I originally tied them to flyfish for Walleyes, Smallmouth and Pike in Michigan and for trips to Canada.
The colors are your basic olive, grey, dark olive, tan backs over white .
I added some glow in the dark eyes and glow flash inside the streamers.
In clear waters during the day they look like regular body baits. In the twilight times of dusk and dawn the glow shows up. If you fish stained, muddy or.off colored waters during the day the subtle glow appears.
The better the visibility of the Glow properties allows an easier target for predators to key in on your bait. It has made a difference for me over the many years fishing these glow streamers.
I usually tie a inverted V weedguard on most of my flies. It allows you to cast to cover such as wood, weeds, rocks and rubble.

Most people cast to the edges of cover hoping a fish will come out for the fly. When fish are actively feeding, that does happen. Most of the time they are in a neutral or negative mood. Unless you drop that fly on it's nose, it's not going to leave the protection of that cover and chase your fly
. With a weedguard you cast into that cover and slowly crawl your way through. You chances are greatly improved.
You have the opportunity to cast to spots others will not.
These slim minnow imitations are created with Artic goat hair. It moves with every strip and on the pause, the thin wispy hair is still moving. This natural hair is extremely durable. I also epoxy each tie-in point, the 3D molded Glow eyes and the nose of the fly. I use premium quality Black nickel B10S hooks. They are strong, super sharp with a wide hook gap.
Everything I use to tie these streamers is top quality. When the most important connection point between you and the fish is the fly, buy quality.
If you have any questions, contact me. If I don't have the answer, I probably know someone who does.

If you have read this far, thank you for considering my flies.
